Adjectives

Typically when you ask a first or second grader to tell you how someone is feeling they will respond with: happy, sad or mad. In my second grade class we have been discussing other emotions, that characters in the stories we have read, feel. For example this week we talked about the words: proud, courageous, and brave. I want the students to understand and become familiar with these words so they will start to use them in their writing and everyday vocabulary.
