The upper high school students are reviewing for the upcoming ACT exam. They are doing a review of solving equations. Like my previous post on quadratic equations, there is a cool program that can solve equations on the algebrahelp.com web site.
Basic Equation Solving Calculator
Many of the students have struggled over solving equations with variables on both sides of the equation, equations with parentheses, equations with fractions, and equations with decimals. One concept that all of them struggle with are negative numbers. That will be a concept we tackle next week.
