I am just checking in with the latest in the secondary mathematics department. The Algebra II - Trigonometry class (upper high school) took a quiz on Thursday. We are in our first unit in trigonometry. The students are learning angles of rotation, and the rules for using right triangles. This is leading up to next week's lessons on the famous, sine, cosine, and tangent. Trigonometry is an interesting branch of mathematics with many applications, such as surveying, architecture, computer game design, etc.
The lower high school class is plugging through the factoring of trinomials. The class is hard-working and moving through the material at an incredibly fast rate.
